*If you are eaten alive by xenos THIS IS A GOOD THING. Take out your oxygen bottle or any other weapon in your hand, and TRY MOVE AROUND LIKE A FURIOUS BABY WITH FAMILICIDE IN MIND. You'll slam the thing you're holding into the alien's stomach lining, and if you do it enough you'll EXPLODE out of the aliens chest cavity like some kind of reverse-larvae. CAN YOU TAKE WHAT YOU DEAL OUT, XENOS?!

Anti-Human Alien Alliance
  −
These were the first beings to threaten life on Earth and jump-started the mostly dead space-race so humanity could escape extinction. For more, read the backstory.

Sectoid
  −

  −
Live Specimen
  −
The Sectoid hierarchy ranges from soldiers to leaders with powerful psionic abilities. These psionic powers can be used to demoralise opponents in combat, or even take control of their minds. They tend to indulge in human abductions and cattle mutilation. The abduction is used to extract genetic material for cross breeding and developing clones for infiltrating human society. The cattle provide both nutrition and genetic material.
  −
  −
This race appears to want to develop superior genetic hybrids to increase the efficiency of their hive-like society. It is from the sectoids that humanity first learned to master complex and efficient cloning and genetic manipulation technologies.
  −
  −
Autopsy
  −

  −
The autopsy reveals vestigial digestive organs and a simple structure. The brain and eyes are very well developed. The structure suggests genetic alteration or mutation.
  −
  −
The small mouth and nose appear to have little function. The webbing between the fingers and the flat feet suggest aquatic origins.
  −
  −
There are no reproductive organs and no clues as to how this species can reproduce. They are most probably a genetically engineered species.
  −
Muton
  −
Live Specimen
  −

  −

  −
This humanoid creature is physically powerful and intelligent. They have a particular appetite for consuming raw flesh of any kind, which they need for sustenance like earth based carnivores. They appear to rely on telepathic commands from a race known as 'Ethereals'. Once separated from this telepathic link their mental system appears to break down and they die. The cybernetic implants are used to enhance their combat performance. They are clearly the foot soldiers for a higher intelligence.
  −
  −
Autopsy
  −

  −
The 'skin' of this creature appears to be an organically created protective armour which is grafted onto the body. There are numerous cybernetic implants which are used to enhance the cardio-vascular system and the senses. The reproductive organs appear to have been surgically removed. Evidently these unfortunate creatures are limited to a life of warfare and conquest. Not even armour piercing ammunition is very effective against their toughened skin.

  −
Snakeman
  −
  −
Live Specimen
  −

  −

  −
This race developed in an extremely hostile environment. They are extremely tough and can resist extreme temperature variations. Their mobility depends on a snake-like giant "foot" which protects all the vital organs.
  −
  −
Their objectives appear to be purely predatory and they appear to be under the command of some other Intelligence which directs their military-style incursions on earth.
  −
  −
Autopsy
  −

  −
The skin is extremely tough and heat resistant.
  −
  −
The cardio-vascular system is part of the muscular system which uses the hydraulic principle to create motion. The only true muscle is the "heart".
  −
  −
The reproductive system appears to be very efficient. Reproduction is asexual, with each snakeman carrying up to fifty eggs inside its body at any one time.
  −
  −
This is one of the few alien species that are capable of out-breeding humanity. Strangely, though they were commonly encountered in the initial wars on Earth, outside of the original solar system their numbers dwindled drastically. Without direct control snakemen are stupid and violent, and their eggs are a delicacy to many encountered sentients across the galaxy, and as a result outside of special warfare breeding programs snakemen are practically endangered.

Chryssalid
  −
Live Specimen
  −

  −

  −
The crab-like claws of this creature are a powerful weapon in close combat. The high metabolism and strength of this creature give it speed and dexterity. Instead of killing its victim it impregnates it with an egg and injects a neurotoxin which turns it into a mindless drone. A new Chryssalid will burst from the victim shortly after impregnation. Chryssalids are associated with the Snakeman race.
  −
  −
Autopsy
  −

  −
The exo-skeleton of this creature is extremely tough, but surprisingly vulnerable to explosive pressure. The brain is well developed, and its cell growth rate very fast. The unmodified 'wild' creature carries twenty eggs which are laid inside other organisms. This creature was once a very effective terror weapon, but human victory over the snakemen was so complete that nearly all chryssalids are heavily modified by genetic manipulation and surgical cybernetic implantation that they pose no threat to station goers. As a final mocking retribution towards the incredible damage the chryssalids once caused human beings, they are traditionally forced to work as janitors.

Ethereal
  −
Live Specimen
  −

  −
This being has awesome mental powers which allow for telepathic communication and telekinetic abilities.
  −
  −
The apparently weak physical abilities of this creature are sustained by its mental powers. We do not understand how these telekinetic powers work, since they seem to defy the laws of physics as we know them.
  −
  −
They are extremely dangerous in any combat situation, where they rely on their mental powers for combat. They rarely appear in person since they seem to rely on other races to pursue their objectives.
  −
  −
Autopsy
  −

  −
This being is physically retarded and seems incapable of sustaining any life functions.
  −
  −
The muscles are severely atrophied and the internal organs appear to be under-developed. The sensory organs, including the eyes, do not appear to function at all.
  −
  −
The brain, however, is well developed and draws on a high proportion of the body's blood supply. It is a mystery as to how this creature can sustain itself without external support.
  −
How to Defeat
  −
Kiss your ass goodbye. This station is not armed well enough to handle these threats. If any of them show up, release the singularity, call the shuttle, and try to set yourself on fire so they won't catch you.

Metroid
  −
Physiology and morphology
  −
The body of a "typical" Metroid consists of a thick gelatinous membrane (resembling that of a jellyfish) and contains a set of three (in Phazon Metroids) to four (in Tallon Metroids) red, raspberry-shaped, quadripartite/tripartite nuclei. They have two pairs of mandibles, one for gripping their prey and the other for extracting its life energy. Metroids appear to be able to directly sense the life energy of their prey, as they have no visible sensory organs. In the early stages of their development, Metroids hover in the air. Samus Aran (bounty hunter with in depth research on Metroids)  logs explain that they defy gravity by using kinetic energy that is stored in their bodies. These mature Larval Metroids are the ones most often encountered and are in the third natural stage of their life-cycle (including the egg stage). Traditionally, Larval Metroids are transparent or translucent with hints of certain colors (green, red, blue, etc)
  −
  −
Metroids are vicious creatures with no natural predators. They appear to be quite intelligent -- for example, when a Metroid is released into a room containing both Space Pirates and a heavily armored solider, it will attack the Space Pirates first as they are easier prey. Once attached to their prey, Metroids are very difficult to dislodge and will quickly drain their victim's life force completely, often killing it in seconds. Using Morph Ball Bombs is the only known way of dislodging an attached Metroid; consequently, Samus is one of the only two beings known to have survived a Metroid attack, the other survivor being Mother Brain by using an unknown 'resurrection' ability.
  −
  −
Metroids have an endless appetite and will feed on any and all living creatures they come across with the exception of their own species. This immense threat is compounded not only by their invulnerability to most forms of weaponry, but also because exposure to extremely high amounts of beta radiation causes them to asexually reproduce via division much like a cell undergoing mitosis; the latter ability is seemingly restricted to the Infant Metroid and Larval stages of a Metroid. Metroids have only one real weakness: an extreme sensitivity to cold temperatures. Once their membrane is frozen, it can be shattered by concussive weaponry (such as Missiles and bombs), killing the Metroid. Though most offshoots of Metroids retain a weakness to cold, some specific mutated strains had rid themselves of this vulnerability.
  −
  −
In their natural life cycle, Metroids gradually metamorphose into a creature resembling an insect or a crustacean before finally attaining a somewhat reptilian form. As they change, they eventually replace their gelatinous membrane with a hard organic shell and grow a head and a set of limbs. The shell removes their weakness to cold temperatures, but all forms retain a section of weak, uncovered membrane containing a single nucleus which is vulnerable to attack. The only known form with a complete shell is the mutated Metroid Prime. The egg-laying Queen Metroid appears to be the only form in which Metroids can naturally reproduce. As they grow, Metroids also gain the ability to project bolts of static electricity or spit toxic saliva at their prey.
  −
  −
Recovered Space Pirate Data states that Metroids mutate differently depending on what planet they are exposed to, such as the Hunter Metroids encountered on Tallon IV. Metroids cannot mutate into their natural advanced stages, unless they are on SR388 or a perfect replica. When mutated by Phazon, Metroids will also gain various odd qualities such as the ability to phase through walls
  −
  −
The Metroids live on a mysterious energy that they drain from their victims. What this energy is remains unknown; the victim loses no bodily fluids but perishes nonetheless. This energy is referred to as "life energy". Metroids are stated to be energy-based organisms and thus increase in mass as they drain energy. Metroids can also feed off the energy used by Power Suits, which will protect an armored solider as long as it is active. However, were the suit to lose all of its energy, the solider would be rendered vulnerable to the Metroids.
  −
  −
In addition to draining life energy from victims, Metroids can heal other life forms by transferring stored life energy into them as demonstrated by an isolated case with the bounty hunter Smaus Aran. This stored energy can also be drained from the Metroid, allowing it to be used as a living rechargeable power cell.
  −
  −
It is also revealed through Pirate Homeworld data recovered by the bounty hunter Samus Aran, that Metroids have a sensitivity to certain sonic frequencies, a weakness that the Pirates exploited to subdue several Phazon Metroids in a Metroid Processing chamber.
